MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The Capital City Film Festival celebrates independent artists from around the world by curating outstanding multimedia experiences for our community.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Capital City Film Festival (CCFF) is a multimedia showcase of independent films, live touring bands and multimedia experiences that engage audiences in Michigan’s capital city. We celebrate artists from around the world who share their craft while promoting and building on the cultural assets of our diverse locale.

Capital City Film Festival is proud to present both the Fortnight Film Contest and the Fortnight Game Contest. The Fortnight Film Contest gives teams 2 weeks to create an original short film, 10 minutes or less. We play the top 10 films during a screening at the fest and give away cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams plus Audience Choice.

The Fortnight Game Contest challenges teams to create a wonderful original game incentivized with a gracious prize packages. The top five teams get to do a live demo and presentation of their game on the Prime Screen.

We are honored to host the return of Symphonic Cinema, pairing a gigantic cinema experience with a live performance from the Lansing Symphony Orchestra.

We also offer prizes for the top selection in three categories :
