MISSION & OBJECTIVE
This is the fourth LUCERNE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL held in the beautiful City of Lucerne, Switzerland.

Lucerne is known for their first class festivals like the Rose D'Or, Blue Balls Festival, Festival of Lucerne and clearly became a leading host city for big events.

In cooperation with many great and uniquely experienced partners we will offer a high quality festival with a unique charm.

The LiFF was founded by award winning moviemakers, just like you are. We have been at many festivals and we have so often "wished" for more. Better hosting, better location and better organization. We aim high for the LIFF and hope to be the festival from which you will return and say..."WOW.... must go again..."

The LiFF is a registered organization with a group of filmmakers, entertainers and movie lovers. We are proud of all our members who are helping us to organize this fantastic celebration.

The LiFF attracts worldwide distributors and offers immediate distribution through our channels after the festival of all selected projects. Get your movie out on iTunes, Netflix, amazon and many other venues.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The next Lucerne Independent Film Festival will be held at the Swiss Museum of Transport (Das Verkehrshaus der Schweiz).

October 16th to October 18th, 2015

After a very successful 2014 Season (November 2014) at the Swiss Museum of Transport we are getting ready for the 2015 Festival.

During three days the city of Lucerne, cultural capital of central Switzerland, will enchant you with the magic of film. The brilliant venues of our hosting partner, The Swiss Museum of Transport, offer our audience unique ambience and scenery during the festival.

The "i" in LiFF not only stands for "international", but also for "independent". International are the films shown at the festival and also the filmmakers that submitted their work from all over the world. Independent and free spirited are the subjects and contents of their films. Even low budget movies with strong stories get a chance to show their films at our festival. Our program is unique and most of the films cannot be seen in the mainstream theaters. Quality and content are of high importance - heartfelt and moving stories are the soul of the festival.

Worldwide, only a small percentage of films make it to the big movie theaters and get a chance to be seen by a larger audience. In many cases those lower budgeted films are historically and culturally absolutely unique but lack the necessary financial and marketing means to be shown in large cinemas. Exactly these are the pearls our team has found for you! We took various cultures as well as different tastes into account. You can look forward to classic dramas, fascinating documentaries, fancy comedies, exceptional animations as well as hair-raising horror and SciFi movies. The closeness and personal discussions between filmmakers and audience is our foremost priority.

Therefore various platforms have been created inside our festival with several screens, Showcases and the Swiss Museum of Transport offers a cool filmmaker setting in their Filmtheater (IMAX) where you may enjoy the "from silent film to 3D" presentation and enjoy drinks/foods at their Filmtheater lounge in an lively but intimate setting.
