Script Competition
We are accepting any scripts that are complete but not yet in production within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.
Feature - (61 min or more)
All feature films with a run time greater than 60 minutes within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.
Shorts - (60 min or less)
All films with a run time greater than 10 minutes but less than 60 within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.
Short Shorts (10 min or less)
All short films with a run time greater than 1 minute, but shorter than 10 minutes within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual life.
Mobile Shorts (30-60 seconds)
Commercials with a run time of 30-60 seconds within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual life.
Documentaries Feature
All documentary films of feature length (61+ mins) and within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.
Documentary Short
All documentary films of with a run time of less than 60 min and within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Life Film Fest is the unique, world-wide film festival dedicated to showcasing films which affirm the importance of the human experience and the unique value of every life. Life Fest is held, "in the heart of the entertainment industry."

We are a team of individuals from throughout every aspect of the entertainment industry who wish to see life-affirming content once again emanating from this creative business. But we are also helping raise up a whole new generation of filmmakers and giving them entrance into this industry that so impacts the world


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
2014 marks the return to Hollywood for Life Fest, and while our on-site involvement by media professionals is extensive, our on-line aspects allows world-wide reach and involvement by filmmakers of all types.

Life Fest organizers offer programming and events for film enthusiasts of every interest and background. With the support of a passionate arts community, Life Fest has attracted active involvement from some of the industry's best filmmakers. We feature opportunities for burgeoning filmmakers and will be entertaining distinguished industry guests and thousands of film enthusiasts from around the world.

In addition to screenings and seminars, there are several networking and alliance building opportunities presented, which should be availed of as this is a collaborative industry.

This year also marks the active involvement of distributors and content providers searching for quality product for their outlets.

GENERAL RULES

Entry Regulations
For selection and programming consideration, the festival accepts DVD, MiniDV, and digital media files. Please see individual categories for more information on accepted forms for submission. If selected, we will then require the optimal digital video format for presentation.
For submission purposes, festival programmers will not consider films submitted before completion (i.e., rough cuts, Avid outputs, temporary sound mixes, etc.). Life Fest will not consider trailers or other promotional videos for selection purposes.

Competition Categories
Submitted films will be selected and judged in five categories:

Script Competition: We are accepting any scripts that are complete but not yet in production within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.

Features: All feature films with a run time greater than 60 minutes within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.

Shorts: All films with a run time greater than 10 minutes but less than 60 within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual human life.

Short Shorts: All short films with a run time greater than 1 minute, but shorter than 10 minutes within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual life.

Mobile Shorts: Mobile shorts or commercials with a run time of 30-60 seconds within any genre that expresses or reflects the intrinsic value of each and every individual life.

More than one film may be submitted. Each film must be accompanied by a separate submission form and entry fee.

Acceptance of Rules
Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of all Festival rules and regulations.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Selected Films Participants must ensure that they have the right to participate in Life Fest with regard to third persons connected to the production of selected films/projects. Life Fest will not pay screening fees and it is assumed that any film submitted without specific reference to a requested screening fee in the cover letter is both available to be screened, with no legal restrictions, and without expectation of a fee being paid. Submitting your film to Life Fest denotes agreement to all rules and regulations listed here within. The final print of each invited film must be delivered to Life Fest before April 25th, 2013 or have other arrangements agreed upon by the festival directors. The Festival reserves the right to refuse or cancel the projection of any print deemed of insufficient quality. Press & Publicity If your film is selected to screen at Life Fest, you will be asked to provide: director's bio and filmography/videography, b&w and/or color stills from the film, press materials, and video trailer (if available). Judging & Awards All accepted submissions are eligible for the awards designated for the category in which it is submitted. Individuals from the media and other industry experts will serve as impartial judges of all selected films. Separate Jury Awards will be presented to the best film in each category. Shipping The cost of shipping a submission to Life Fest must be paid by the entrant. Please do not send submissions in fiber-filled envelopes, as their residue ruins equipment. To obtain notification of receipt, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard. Submission DVDs will not be returned unless otherwise requested. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the entrant. Reproduction Agreement Unless otherwise requested, film submissions selected for screening grant Life Fest the rights to use moving image excerpts, production stills, and information from the film for promotional purposes. Entrant also agrees to give Life Fest permission for accepted films and related marketing materials to be reproduced and distributed - in whole or in part - for the purposes of jurying, education, and promotion of the festival, including but not limited to online screenings and post festival distribution. Filmmakers may opt out of allowing Life Fest use of their films for post-festival distribution if desired. Liability Every precaution will be exercised in handling films. However, should a print be lost or damaged, Life Fest will not be held responsible. Preview DVDs are non returnable. Screening films will be returned only with proper return postage or arrangements made at filmmaker's expense. Do not send original or master prints. Life Fest is held harmless by entrant from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses incurred by any claim against entrant involving copyright, trademark, or credits of any selected film.
