ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

We’re looking for anything dark, scary, creepy, bloody, haunting, nasty, indie, underground, eerie, violent, strange, unusual, horrorhorrific, and macabre!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Crypticon Seattle, the convention is in its 10th year and Crypticon Seattle Film Festival is in its 6th year.

The conventions attract thousands every year.

Crypticon is the premier horror convention in the Northwestern United States, pulling people from all over the region and beyond. After several years of showing a single film track, we are expanding our programming to 2 rooms over three days. That means more features, more shorts, and more horrifying fun! We have added new judges who bring an exciting new outlook and energy to the festival.

Crypticon Seattle is a great weekend of fun and frights!

If you are a NW filmmaker, contact us for a submissions waiver. NW films can submit with no fee. Your film must have been shot in Idaho, Oregon, or Washington to qualify for this waiver. If you have screened at previous Crypticon Seattle film festivals you are also eligible for a waiver.

We give several awards at our festival:

• Jury Selections of "Best Short" and "Best Feature"
• Best Northwest Film. This is a film from a director or writer from Idaho, Oregon, or Washington. The film must have 50% of the production shot in one or all of these 3 states. (A minimum of 5 NW films must show at the festival for this award to be presented.)

More details will listed as they come out.
