MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Long Beach International Film Festival was founded to celebrate the art of storytelling through cinema. Presenting features, shorts, fiction and documentary format, the festival is committed to exhibiting films that convey fresh voices and differing perspectives. Our goal is that these programs will captivate, engage and enlighten our audiences, provide invaluable exposure for filmmakers and present inspired entertainment for all ages.
Seeking out the best in international cinema, the LBIFF will showcase the work of the world’s top filmmakers and fresh talent alike, presenting the finest films from around the globe.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF) will celebrate its 5th anniversary with an action-packed line up of independent and studio films from around the globe. Scheduled to take place from July 21 - 23 on Long Island, the Festival will screen an international slate of over 50 films, including feature-length narrative, documentary, short, animated and student films that will compete for a series of Jury, Festival Honors and Audience Awards.
During its three day run, the Festival will feature an array of nightly special events, including red carpet premieres, gala celebrations, filmmaker receptions, compelling filmmaker Q & As, international spotlights, industry seminars and musical performances. The Festival will host numerous opportunities to connect with enthusiastic new audiences, fellow filmmakers, film industry professionals, non-profit organizations and the media in a beautiful oceanside locale of Long Beach, New York. The LBIFF is committed to providing an outstanding experience for both our filmmakers and our audiences.
Special Programs planned for 2016 LBIFF include Shorts On The Beach Film Series, Joan Jett Music Film Series and many more. We’ll also be exhibiting films of Action Sports, Environmental, Art, Family.
The City of Long Beach and Rockville Centre, serve as hosts to the Festival's film screenings and special events. Located just 25 miles east of Manhattan and 20 minutes from JFK Airport, LBIFF offers an optimal setting to experience filmmaking at its finest. Long Beach boasts one of the largest movie consumer groups in the world with a rich filmmaking history right here on Long Island. Thousands of visitors every year are drawn to the City's spectacular coastline, fine dining, shopping, and endless recreational activities.

All submitted films must comply with the Submissions Guidelines including deadlines, exhibition format, entry material, etc. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Your film will be watched, in its entirety, by at least 5 people so we suggest that you submit your film as early as possible.
Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, permits necessary to present their work. Long Beach International Film Festival is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement related to the work.
Every precaution will be taken to safeguard all materials sent to the Festival but the Festival is not responsible for damage to submitted materials incurred by shipping to or from the Festival.
Films submitted must be available for EXHIBITION as: Digital Cinema Package (DCP) - 24fps, blu ray NTSC region 0 or 1 or .MOV Quicktime HD NTSC.
Films submitted must be available in English or in the original language with English subtitles.
Films must not screen in the U.S. in theaters, air on U.S. television, or be available to US consumers in stores or via the internet before July 23, 2016.
The number(s), date(s), time(s), and locations of the screenings of films are subject to the discretion of the Long Beach International Film Festival.
Entry materials and/or Short films will not be returned with the exception of hard drives and flash drives with a prepaid postage and self-addressed envelope.
The Long Beach International Film Festival does not pay additional charges for originals, masters, or special prints.
Notification will be emailed on June 21st. All correspondence will be done through EMAIL ONLY to the original submitter.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. I am authorized to submit this film to the festival.
2. All information provided on application form is true, to the best of my knowledge.
3. If the film is selected for the Festival, I give permission for The Long Beach International Film Festival to use images, sounds and excerpts from the work for promotional purposes in all media and on The Long Beach International Film Festival website.
4. I hold the The Long Beach International Film Festival harmless from damage or loss of the print en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival's possession of the film.
5. This agreement constitutes approval that The Long Beach International Film Festival may present the film at the 2016 The Long Beach International Film Festival.
