MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Selected as one of "20 film festivals worth the entry fee" by MovieMaker Magazine, the Rome International Film Festival (RIFF) is the premiere film event in Northwest Georgia.
RIFF welcomes films and filmmakers from around the globe to share the art of independent film with regional audiences, to entertain and enlighten festival attendees, to provide filmmakers the opportunity for professional networking and development, and to encourage cultural tourism and film industry development in Rome, Georgia and the surrounding area. RIFF goes above and beyond to make sure attending filmmakers have a great festival experience.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Rome International Film Festival is a filmmaker-friendly festival that focuses on quality programming of all genres. We want to give a heightened sense of the experience to all who participate and attend. RIFF goes above and beyond to make all of our visiting filmmakers have a great experience. RIFF also boast many celebrity special guest, educational workshops, and masterclasses that you will not find anywhere else. Georgia film icon Burt Reynolds was honored at the 2017 festival.
RIFF celebrates its 15th anniversary November 1- 4, 2018.

Film durations are divided at the 40 minute mark for features and shorts.
Each category has a juried award for best in category. There are also audience choice awards for feature and short.
Please include the following when mailing your entry:
A Online digital screener or an NTSC DVD of the work(s). Be aware that we cannot return the preview copy.
An electronic still image suitable for the program. (Not the Films Official poster)
A synopsis or description alone on one page or in the Withoutabox project description/ online press kit (one paragraph, appropriate for quick reading)
Entry fees in the form of check or money order if you did not pay with a credit card.
A separate entry fee must accompany each work.
Be certain to include your name, WAB tracking ID, and return address clearly on the package. Include the category on the label as well.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Rome International Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Rome International Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. I agree that I am duly authorized to submit this film to the Festival and hold all rights and clearances and hold the Festival harmless for any infringements that may occur.
