HATCH Your Passion Inside
INTEL presents the HATCH Your Passion Inside International Film Competition.

Overview // We all have a seed of passion within us waiting to sprout and become what it will become. This creative seed requires nurturing and inspiration to awaken and express itself to the world. Intel and HATCH are both committed to providing resources that help all of us access the seeds of our passion. Together Intel and HATCH have created an opportunity for young creative minds to showcase what it means to HATCH the Passion inside.

COMPETITION // We want to know what it means when you HATCH the Passion Inside? How do you pursue your passion? How do you bring your passion into the world? What drives your passion? What happens to the world around you when you are living your passion with the most intensity?
Answer one of these questions in a short film format to enter. All film styles and genres will be
accepted - narrative fiction, animation, music video, documentary, experimental, etc.

Intel is thrilled to sponsor this creative film contest in partnership with HATCH. At Intel we are passionate about all forms of creative innovation and believe in mentoring, cultivating, and HATCHING that spark in the next generation of creators.

HATCH is a year round non-profit organization, designed to develop and foster the growth of creative minds in various industries through mentorship, exposure and networking.  Each four day innovation incubator energizes creative professionals and thought leaders who are serious about transforming their ideas and talent into bold action, while being inspired by others who are doing the same.

Founded in 2004, HATCH is a year round non-profit, and four-day innovation think-tank summit designed to develop and foster the growth of creative minds in various industries through mentorship, exposure, and networking, while offering a unique environment for thought leaders to re-charge.

HATCH has connected over 300 mentors w/ approximately 5000 students. Over 200 students have been awarded scholarships to HATCH, and HATCH content has been visited by over 150 countries.

The HATCH Experience is a carefully curated, trusted network of creative innovators who have transformed their ideas and talent into bold action, while inspiring others to do the same. Given that the HATCH Experience is also a conduit for the local creative class to share authentic interactions with global industry mavens, an entire local community can be elevated. The selected network is crafted to connect, cross-pollinate, offer insights to each other, and to the next generation of talented creative leaders.

HATCH is committed to celebrating and elevating creativity at the source – influencers of creativity, to have maximum impact through inspired innovation across all creative disciplines for present and future innovators.

Every year we strive to find the most talented young filmmakers in the world and help them to connect with mentors from the industry. Any students whose films are accepted will have their accommodations paid for by the festival and receive a voucher towards their flight to the festival city.

HATCH requires Secure Online Screeners as a preview format

ALL Groundbreaking Student Competition entrants must be available to attend the Festival if final selection of your work is made.

Please submit the following materials:
-Secure Online Screener is the only accepted preview format.
-Entry Fee payable online by credit card. Entry Fees are not refundable.
-Unfortunately submission fees cannot be waived.
-Submitted materials are only returned if submitter picks up all included costs: Postage & Packaging
-Please do not send film prints, master tapes or other originals.
-Film Synopsis (Approximately 150 Words)
-Principal Cast and Production Credits Listing

International Entries
-Films recorded in a language other than English must have English subtitles.
-Please give the title in both English and your native language.

**Incomplete entries will not be considered.

HATCH is not responsible for any damaged property.
-All shipping costs to and from Bozeman must be borne by the sender.
-Packages sent from outside the U.S. should be sent Air Mail, registered or by a parcel or express service. HATCH cannot accept items shipped via air freight if customs and delivery fees have not been paid.

-I/We have read all of the rules and regulations for the 2012 HATCH Film Competition (s) (hereafter called the "Festival").
- I/We understand and have complied with these rules.
-I/We warrant the submission of my/our original work and that there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission.
-I/We certify that this project was created primarily by people registered as students in a legitimate, legal school setting in which film is my/our primary course of study. [Groundbreaking Student Competition Only]
-I/We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead.
-I/We fully indemnify the Festival against any claim made for such violations of law.
-To the best of my/our knowledge, all of the statements herein are true and correct.
-I/We understand that failure to adhere to Festival rules and regulations will result in disqualification.
-I/We agree to hold the Festival harmless from and defend them against all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, liabilities and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of or in
connection with any and all claims of third parties, whether or not groundless, based on any screenplay/film submitted to the Festival or on any screenplay/film developed out of such submission.
-By submitting this entry, I agree that the HATCH Festival may publicly screen my work as well as use stills and descriptive material in the official program and any other publicity efforts.
-In the event that I am selected as Finalist, I will provide a finished copy on the format indicated no later than September 1st, 2013 for HATCH.
-I agree to hold the HATCH Festival harmless in the event of loss or damage to my entry tape or material provided for Festival screening.
