Short Films
We, at Off, guarantee to screen only the very best in Short Films. We do not judge by country, budget or names. Music Video
Please don't send us your band playing in a garage, shot on an iPhone. We want music videos with a cinematic quality for consideration for our Best Music Video award.
Documentary Short
Looking for the best in Short Documentaries for consideration for our Best Short Documentary award. We do forewarn, this is a highly competitive category.

Comedy Shorts
Make us laugh. Your comedy short will be put on the big screen and in-consideration for our Comedy Short award.

Our mission is to bring the culture of international cinema to the Okanagan. To Inspire. To Encourage. To Support.

Off begins - Oct. 2012

Off is an exclusive multimedia event showcasing talent in international works of cinema. Off is hosted in the heart of Canada's wine country, the Okanagan Valley, which is full of lakes, championship golf courses with desert-like heat and mountain landscapes.

In 2011, we were one of the most competitive international film festivals in the world as we strive to only screen excellence at our festival.

We look for the most thought-provoking, haunting, heart-breaking and hilarious works in international cinema. And those gems that we find, we support in every way that we can.

We believe in keeping a network of talented indie artists to continue to inspire, encourage and support each other and their works. Off is "A film festival for filmmakers by filmmakers."

1. Films must be submitted on DVD or a file on a data DVD-R. We can accept these file extensions: mpeg2, avi, mov.

2. Films must have been completed after December 2010.

3. Narrative and Documentary films produced, financed or initiated by a major film studio or television network are ineligible for competition, but may be considered for a special screening.

4. Films that have screened on North American network or cable television or distributed to theaters prior to the festival dates are ineligible for competition.

5. Films already uploaded to the internet for the public will not be selected.

6. Off reserves the right to change submission category at their discretion.

9. DVDs and press materials will not be returned under any circumstances.

10. Films received after August 31st will not be selected to screen at Off International 2012.
