OPEN CALL FOR ENTRIES • Select a Category of Entry to continue.

Gen-Next
A selection of Narrative and Documentary feature films, directed by new filmmakers, who are turning heads in the independent film community. Wes Anderson, Sophia Coppola, Richard Linklater and many other iconic, indie filmmakers have never submitted films to this category.

New Filmmakers with debuting feature projects (Narrative/Documentary/Experimental) are encouraged to submit their films for consideration. Our Gen-Next category represents a selection of feature films, directed by new filmmakers, which are the next big thing in independent cinema.
Experimental
New to the festival in 2013, our Experimental Category showcases shorts in an array of genres that combine the arts of innovation, technology and cinema. These films challenge the conventional landscape, cultivating & highlighting new media forms in the cinematic culture. Get weird with it.
Music Docs
Documentary + rockers that rock(ed) = some of the most interesting filmmaking we have ever seen. If you made such a film, about a musician or musicians, or the musicians industry - feel free to submit it. Warning: KahBang is not responsible for lost socks of audience members.
Short Films
They prefer to be called "Little Films", but these tiny opuses often have more to say than their feature-length counterparts. This category represents the Best Short Films of 2012.
Horror Shorts
These films pack all the bone chilling, toe curling horror into less than 20 minutes.
Sound Bites: Music Video
In 1981 video killed the radio star, yet, in a surprise twist, was acquitted of all charges when it was realized that nobody cared. Decades later KahBang offers a category devoted solely to honor the brilliance that is Music Videos. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit their work and have the rights to the music – or else the filmmaker may be labeled an "infringer", and punished for infringing. If MTV won't play 'em, we will.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
