MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Voted as one of the ‘Top 5 Coolest Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festivals in the World’ by Moviemaker Magazine in 2013!

The Mile High Horror Film Festival takes place each fall in the Denver metro area of Colorado. The festival's mission is to showcase the very best genre films from around the world.

To celebrate the 5th year of this annual festival, we will be launching three days of panels, events, parties, celebrities, fun, and the very best genre films on the planet!

As a premiere horror film festival, each year we host a wide array of celebrities, filmmakers, and artists from the horror genre.

Our attendance has more than doubled each year of our existence and we believe that 2014 will once again break records.

We pride ourselves on giving a voice to quality, independent genre films and catering to the filmmakers who create them.

We look forward to considering your work; thank you for considering the Mile High Horror Film Festival!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
In 2013, we showcased over 60 films from 16 different countries, most of which were premiers for the state of Colorado.

Our guest judges included the writer and creator of the FINAL DESTINATION series, Mr. Jeffrey Reddick and the writer and director of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, Mr. Dan Myrick.

We gave away thousands of dollars worth of prizes to filmmakers including prize packages from FEARnet and Sony.

We also launched our "Mile High Horror Shorts" package, which is scheduled to stream on multimedia platforms and be available on-demand.

In 2013, the Mile High Horror Film Festival also hosted top-notch talent from the horror genre including legendary makeup artist Tom Savini, actress Linda Blair from THE EXORCIST, and actor Doug Bradley, who is known for his role as 'Pinhead' in the HELLRAISER series.

Special guests Ken Foree (DAWN OF THE DEAD), "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (THEY LIVE) and Meg Foster (LORDS OF SALEM) were also in attendance among many others.

Although the festival shows occasional classics, the majority of its lineup consists of the newest and best independent genre films from around the world as well as top-notch screenplays.

Our 2014 festival will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse Denver, which is located in Littleton, Colorado. We are proud to host our festival in one of the newest and hippest theaters in the state!
