MISSION & OBJECTIVE

Branching off from The Indie Gathering International Film Festival comes the United Latino Film Festival. The Indie Gathering began in 1996, and through all our years of accepting film submissions, we have recognized the outstanding quality of Spanish-language films and a greater demand for a Hispanic/Latino film festival.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The United Latino Film Festival exists to showcase the Latino independent filmmaker. Our mission is to encourage filmmakers through a competitive showcase of independent features, documentaries, shorts, and music videos. Filmmakers participate in their screenings and after the films speak with audience members who seek a closer look into the creative process.

GENERAL RULES

Please check BOTH copies of your DVD/Blu-Ray before mailing to make sure they play. Each DVD should have your film title, total run time and WAB tracking number. It is recommended that you check your DVDs on more than one DVD player (computers don't count) to ensure they play, as this is a common issue with submissions.

Films may be submitted from any country but MUST be in Spanish. All films REQUIRE English subtitles. If your film is in both English and Spanish, all English portions will require Spanish subtitles, and all Spanish portions will require English subtitles.

If your film is selected to screen, you MUST send us a hard copy of your film (DVD or Blu-Ray) in NTSC Region 0 or Region 1 format. We will not screen from files, and we cannot screen PAL discs. We can ONLY screen from playable NTSC discs. Any selected film that is not received will be replaced in our lineup, with no exceptions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

United Latino Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless United Latino from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
