Cats rule! The NY Cat Film Festival is the feline-lovers answer to the NY Dog Film Festival and will travel nationwide to some cities alongside it, after its annual premiere in NYC at the School for Visual Arts theater on Sunday November 3rd 2019. This new festival welcomes (preferably short) films that honor these mysterious creatures, who have fascinated mankind for centuries and continue to enchant us, The NY Cat Film Festival gives back to animal welfare groups that protect cats and elevate their status in the world, welcoming films about cats’ relationships with the people in their world.
. This Festival also is philanthropic and a portion of all ticket sales goes to an animal welfare organization in every city it visits.

The NY Cat Film Festival is the way for those who admire and are fascinated by cats to amek and bring their films in front of like-minded cat lovers. These are not "cat videos" - these are films which have been made with an intention, concept or story to convey something essential about where cats fit into our human world. This festival is a way to honor cats and those who care about them and raise awareness for their needs and qualities while supporting the caregivers in their communities.
