We pride ourselves because our global festival which runs simultaneously online in many countries at the same time, offers the wider audiences the opportunity to experience this unique source of entertainment that take place simultaneously on a global scale, involving many countries and people from various backgrounds. Unique in the world! Whilst this will be an online only event we are trying to expand the competition in the long run to a red carpet premier not just on the Gold Coast, Australia but also on every continent. A live broadcasting service will be negotiated in the future with major networks around the globe to showcase most of the submitted works. A televised red carpet premier will also be negotiated eventually.

The aim of the competition is to bring exposure to great animators, filmmakers and films, scripts, ideas & topics, graphics designers, creative minds and digital content that might otherwise not break in through a more traditional festival process.

Also the aim is to merge the world of amateur and professional filmmakers, producers & directors, creators of TV commercials, promo and video clip makers to student filmmakers, from media, marketing, graphics design, animation, film, IT and other related fields to enter and showcase in a unique competition with the help of Colortape International Film Festival hoping to impress the world audience, fellow competitors, investors, sponsors and possibly future employers.

How will this work in your favor? The submitted films will be viewed and judged by industry professionals, from a large number of countries, many who are/were partners or affiliates through association with the film industry, people that hail from either a marketing background, international advertising agencies, or former or current sponsors, joint-venture partners in other projects with the founders of the film festival.

These professionals and invited guests will get direct access to your submitted animations/musicalsfilms/promos/vidlets/scripts and together with the feedback and recommendations from the panel judges and will help us make a fair and transparent as possible choice, the right selection of winners, runner ups and anyone else who deserves recognition. Any special recognition.

We believe that EVERYONE submitting or making something deserves to be rewarded. Everyone. But due to the fact that we have limited resources and we are in an infancy or birth of our film festival concept, we might be unable to reward EVERY single entry. Although we would like to. Most assured that we can guarantee that everyone who submits a film or project will get an international recognition certificate and we will endeavor to recommend you for IMDb credits.

    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

We are an independent festival dedicated to bringing together established and first-time filmmakers in a forum to celebrate the short film. The element of competition is not paramount and while the prizes are significant, it’s the taking part and screening of entrants' films in a public arena that counts. Our commitment, therefore, is to screen as many of the short films entered into our competitions as possible by streaming them on our own intranet network to venues all over the village of Schull. There are wifi hotspots too, so the films can be viewed on smart devices and laptops, but only in the village of Schull.

We show the competition films in the village hall, pubs, restaurants, shops and on the sides of buildings. We ask the question "What is a cinema, anyway?" and look for answers in every corner of the village. These are exciting times for the viewing public...we are trying to reflect this in our festival.

    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

At Rooftop Films, we don't screen in theaters, we screen in communities. From the graffiti covered roof atop a lower east side high school to the top of a a parking garage in Toronto, from atop an artist complex in Gowanus to the roof of an industrial complex overlooking all of Brooklyn, from a park alongside the Delaware River to the beach in Coney Island, Rooftop Films has always been about place. To us, open air cinema is more than a spectacle; it's an artistic opening. And this creative choice is reflected in our programming. We screen smart, entertaining yet personal new films.

Rooftop Films' Summer Series provides a forum and an audience for emerging and established filmmakers who make deeply personal cinema, films that offer intimate looks into individual lives, imaginations and distinct communities worldwide. Since 1997, Rooftop Films has become one of the premiere venues, in New York City and beyond, for new, underground and independent short films and underexposed feature films. Our films come from around the globe, and include both world premieres, festival award-winners and Academy Award nominees. The artists we present include first-time filmmakers, long-time outsider artists and seasoned film professionals.

Rooftop screens films of all lengths, formats and genres, including documentaries, animation, experimental works, political film and video and long and short narrative fiction. But the thread that connects all our films is that rather than focus on grandiose topics or artistic abstractions, Rooftop Films shows movies that explore single moments in time and place; personal films that show us where and how you live, and do so with intelligence and daring and in any genre, at any length and in ways and in settings most people would never imagine.

    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

The Rural Route Film Festival was created to highlight works that deal with unique people and places outside of the bustle of the city. Taking in a Rural Route program is like choosing the road less travelled, and learning something new about our constantly amazing world. Whether it be a fictional backpacking drama set in the Peruvian Andes, a personal/experimental work about life in a Kazakh village, or a documentary about an organic, Appalachian turnip farm, our mission is to screen work about rare people and cultures normally overlooked by the mainstream media. Our content consists of top quality, cutting edge contemporary and archival work from sources both local and far, far away.

Since 2002, the Rural Route Film Festival has been centered in New York City, where both founders (originally from Iowa) met working in the film industry. Whether screening in New York, or on one of our many tour dates, our content is more relevant than ever, tackling some of the most important topics of the day within the slow food movement, global warming/environmental arena, and life sustainability symposium.
