    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) is one of the top film festivals in the UK with a focus on audiences and renowned for an international programme of the world’s best films alongside a dynamic fusion of cross-sector events and artistic commissions. We welcomed over 40,000 cinema lovers to our screenings in 2014 and 2015.

GFF truly offers our audiences 'cinema for all' and provides a high profile platform for film professionals working across both feature and short form projects.

Perfectly placed in February for spring and summer releases, GFF has launched some of the best new films to the UK's film press and cinema market.

In 2015, Glasgow Film Festival announced its inaugural Audience Award, asking the GFF ticket-buying audience to vote on a shortlist of ten films from first or second-time directors chosen by the festival programming team. This award runs in conjunction with GFF’s new Pioneer strand, which celebrates the festival’s reputation for picking great early films from future cinema masters, and is designed to bring greater profile to some of the most exciting new cinema talents in the world.

    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

KAFFNY is a New York film festival screening Korean American, Korean and non-Korean films of interest to the local community. Our festival features films of all subject matter, genres and lengths from a variety of perspectives.

Originally founded in 2006 as the Korean American Shorts Film Festival New York, KAFFNY evolved into the most prominent and innovative film, music, and art festivals focusing on the Korean-American third culture experience. Each year, KAFFNY continues to recognize and support new filmmakers and artists, placing emphasis on the diversity of content, form and perspective in its programming, venturing beyond.

KAFFNY's slate of works culls together domestic and international feature film premieres as well as a dynamic cross-section of works by established and student filmmakers from all over the world. Concurrent with the festival program, KAFFNY further extends the reach and message of its featured artists through discussions and special events.

Whether presenting a live musical re-score of the 1956 classic Korean film, “Madame Freedom,” showcasing the works of pioneering video artist Nam June Paik or documentary filmmaker Dai Sil Kim-Gibson, screening meaningful and relevant programs about the Los Angeles Riots, projecting a music feature film on three walls of a gallery for a dance party, while highlighting new voices of independent global cinema, KAFFNY moves across platforms to bring forth the richest cultural examination of "third culture" life. Submit your film and be part of this year's exciting fall season!

Previous festival venues include Village East Cinemas, Skirball Center at NYU, Anthology Film Archives, TheTimesCenter, SVA Theatre, Chelsea Clearview Cinemas, Wythe Hotel as well as gallery and outdoor public spaces throughout New York City.
