    • U.S. Narrative Feature
    • U.S. Documentary Feature
    • International Narrative Feature
    • International Documentary

    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

Anthem, The Libertarian Film Festival, is dedicated to finding and presenting the year's best films about personal and civil liberty. We seek films and documentaries about self-reliance, innovation, commerce, individual rights, and the power of persuasion over force.

Libertarian heroes follow their own paths. They do not conform to the expectations of others. When something goes wrong, they fix it themselves. When something goes right, they give credit where it is due. We want to see protagonists acting in their own self interest, doing all that they can for themselves without government intrusion, regulation, or support. When people watch out for themselves, they create a better world for everyone.

Libertarian films are about choice, opportunity, and knocking down obstacles. They often point out the unintended consequences of government intervention, but they are just as likely to present a protagonist’s personal struggle for self-expression. They show us how to make the world a better place simply by making our own lives better.

Filmmakers often screen to standing-room-only audiences at Anthem, because Anthem is part of FreedomFest, “the world’s largest gathering of free minds.” With over 2,500 attendees and 200 speakers on topics including politics, economics, history, science, health, art, and literature, FreedomFest provides a ready audience of eager viewers for Anthem’s filmmakers. Our comfortable 250-seat theater was often overflowing at last year's festival, and over 1,000 people attended our two featured films.

See you at the movies--Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, July 8-11, 2015.

    MISSION & OBJECTIVE:

Promoting British & International Horror Films!

The British Horror Film Festival is one of the most important and influential horror film festivals in the UK and has a rapidly growing international reputation.

Our goal is to regularly grow the number of screens that the festival is screened on, simultaneously around the UK. We have been growing these screens since 2011 when we screened the festival on 2 screens, Bournemouth and London's Leicester Square.

This gives your movie a chance to be seen by a wider audience and have a one day theatrical release in the UK, as well as a prestigious Leicester Square premiere/debut.

We also have the 'Horror Awards'. These beautiful Crystal Awards are presented at the end of the festival at an awards ceremony.
Previous winners of these prestigious awards have gone on to secure distribution deals in the UK and abroad. The 2013 awards were sponsored by Haunted: After Dark.

Each film screened is nominated in at least one awards category and often many others.

We are committed to increasing the profile of independent horror films and film-makers. A number of reviewers are present at all our screenings, to ensure you get plenty of global publicity, both on-line and in print for your film.

Prepare to scream ... about films!

ON LOCATION: MEMPHIS (formerly the Memphis International Film Festival) has a reputation for showcasing some of the finest independent films from around the world. Memphis is a fantastic and fun place to visit. (i.e.,-Graceland, Sun Studio, STAX, Beale Street, BBQ.) See our section on Memphis Attractions for more information about all of the great attractions in our fair little city. Despite all of the wonderful Memphis attractions the one thing that filmmakers have told us that sets our festival apart is our hospitality. From the moment your film is accepted into our festival we will work to make it easy for you to come to Memphis to share your experiences with us and our audiences. In 2015 we will host our Mix and Mingle Music and Film Preview Party and VIP Reception opening night where you will have the opportunity to meet OLM staff, sponsors, jurors, vendors, and even an occasional celebrity. Film screenings are held at Memphis’ premier indie multiplex the MALCO Studio on the Square. The music side of the festival is housed in its own venue Cooper Walker Place where you will find all the music concerts, music related workshops and screenings. In addition, new this year is the Business Expo where service providers for the film and music community come to explore, network and hear great showcase talent. There will be plenty of opportunity to network with other filmmakers throughout the festival. We do the best that we can to help you arrange for accommodations (cheap to beau coup) transportation and tours of famous Memphis landmarks.
